Chief Executive Officer
Dominic Pinkney - Email
Dominic joined in February 2013 having formerly been the Vice-Chair of HFVC’s Board of Trustees and takes responsibility for driving BAC’s strategy, marketing as well as its business-facing social enterprise Works 4U. He utilizes his mix of public and private sector experience (strategy development, business planning, research, evaluations, social media intelligence) to help deliver the objectives of the organisation’s three entities: HFVC, Brent Active Citizens and Works 4U. As a proven relationship-builder, he is working on developing the organization’s wide-ranging work with the corporate sector and helping them to engage with communities for mutual benefit. Having founded and managed Pedantic Consulting, Dominic brings great knowledge and expertise of best practice and innovative working in the charity sector.

Sara Benjamin - Email
Sara is the Project Coordinator for the Mind Over Matters#MOM project which encourages young people aged 17-24 to be inspired to achieve their goals. #MOM aims to get young people involved in their community via volunteering, training and exciting youth led activities and also promotes and raises awareness of mental health problems with the vision to reduce stigma and discrimination.

Carol Allen
Carol Allen was elected as a trustee of the Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre in 2008. She is a life-long Brent resident and also chairs the Brent Active Citizen’s programme ensuring that it is responsive to residents’ needs. She has been a vocal advocate of volunteering and apprenticeships in communities as a positive and sustainable way to tackle youth and long term unemployment.

Carol has worked as an English tour guide, European project development officer at both the Department of Trade& Industry and College of North West London. In 2005 she became the Head of Neighbourhood Renewal covering two of the most deprived communities in Brent.

Carol successfully worked in partnership with Business in the Community and local businesses which culminated in a visit by HRH Prince Charles to Brent. She currently works in Brent with councillors to develop community initiatives that tackle local priorities and promote participation.
